Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of TeachForge, operated by an individual developer reachable at khan.uqbah@gmail.com. By signing in, you agree to them.
An early-stage service
TeachForge is provided as-is during an early pilot, without a guarantee of uptime. Features, pricing and these terms may change as it develops; you'll be told about material changes.
Accounts
You sign in with a Google account. Teachers create classes and are responsible for who they invite: the students in their classes and any co-teachers. If you invite students who are minors, you're responsible for any consent your school or local law requires.
Credit and payment
Teachers buy credit, and grading uses it. Grading in a class is always paid from the class owner's credit, including grading started by a co-teacher. Students never pay. Unused credit isn't refundable in cash, except where the law requires it.
AI-generated grading
Marks and remarks are produced by an AI model (Google's Gemini) and can be wrong — for example, when handwriting is hard to read. Teachers can review and change every mark before releasing results, and we recommend keeping “Review before releasing results” on. Teachers remain responsible for the results they release to students.
Your content
You keep the rights to what you upload. You give TeachForge permission to store and process it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. Only upload question papers, marking schemes and answer scripts you have the right to use. Students' script files are deleted 14 days after their results are released.
Acceptable use
Don't try to access another person's classes or results, share join codes in order to fill a class with people who shouldn't be in it, upload anything unlawful, or try to disrupt or overload the service.
Limitation of liability
TeachForge is provided without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it, including a mark you disagree with or a temporary outage.
Ending your use
You can stop using TeachForge at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, or end the pilot with reasonable notice to active teachers.
These terms were written by the developer for an early pilot and haven't been reviewed by a lawyer.
